In addition to conducting School Quality Reviews of Saint Paul Public Schools, the School Quality Reviews & Improvement Planning Department is also responsible for conducting qualitative reviews of district-sponsored charter schools in order to provide a recommendation to the district's Board of Education as to whether or not the district should renew their three-year contract with each of these district-sponsored charter schools. 

Currently, the Saint Paul Public School district sponsors seven (7) charter schools:

Achieve Language Academy (K-8)

Community of Peace Academy (K-12)

Face to Face Academy (9-12)

High School for Recording Arts (9-12)

New Spirit School (K-8)

Twin Cities Academy (6-8)

Twin Cities Academy High School (9-12)
